Academic Conduct Policy for Students

Faculty members and students share an important responsibility to maintain the integrity of the teaching and learning relationship. This relationship is characterized by honesty, fairness and mutual respect for the aims and principles of the pursuit of education. This document describes what UOIT defines as academic misconduct as well as what sanctions may be placed on those accused of academic dishonesty. Additionally, the procedures and policies required to launch and resolve complaints by the instructor or dean is outlined, followed by the appeals process.

Non-academic Student Conduct Policy

UOIT’s Student Conduct Policy regarding non-academic matters defines and guides the standards in which all students must meet including a student’s rights and responsibilities while studying at UOIT as well as the scope of authority these policies reach. Additionally, this resource outlines the penalties of various offences and the appeals process for these penalties.
